ARKAY is managed by two brothers Rashid and Khurram. Both of them appear very nice in the beginning but as you go along you realise they are a big fraud.
I made an order of 12 chairs of 2 different types and a custom order for a conference table. My bill was a total of 89,000 PKR. I was promised the delivery in 3 days. I needed the furniture before the opening of my office but it was delayed for 2 weeks because of no delivery until 2 weeks after constant follow-ups and multiple visits to their store.
Once they delivered the furniture, there were 3 different types of chairs out of which only one was the type I had selected and paid against. I compromised on that since I could not afford any further delay.
However, they asked me to pay ******** on top of the original bill giving the reason that there had been a hike in the prices and they also had to pay extra to the customs authorities to get their container relieved. I did not want to pay it but still paid ******** just so they should not bear a loss, even though I was not supposed to pay a single penny above the original cost and they could not do anything beyond. I still did it in good will empathizing that they should not bear a loss.
Now just after a month and a half, 2 chairs have broken, in just 45 days. Two more have cracks and each of the chair costs around 4500. I call them and they are not ready to do anything about it saying that it does not happen. I reminded them about all that I had to go through with them but Mr. Rashid was adamant that they will not do anything to help. He even said that you must have broken it, I asked him why would I break it, but he definitely wants to do anything with it since all the money has been paid and there is no point for him to be nice any further, he apparently sees no gain in that.
I suggest everyone stay away from these kinds of fraudsters. Always ensure you do not fall into their trap by getting everything in writing if there's a delivery promised for later. Also get the warranty and breakage coverage in advance before you make a payment for the commodities you purchase.
