Bunch of ignorant and inconsiderate lot.

My son is around 15 months now. we phoned to ask if they had the required vaccination (Infanrix Hexa, Prevenar, Priorix). They said they had all three. I was coming from Wapda Town round about so I picked up the Prevenar from Punjab Medical store as I get discount from them and they are a friendly bunch. Got to Zainab Poly Clinic on Link road, waited for around 10 minutes and was asked to go in. Then they told me they dont have Infanrix, nor the Priorix vaccination. Instead they have alternatives. When I asked them to show me, they showed the bottle. I asked about the box and was informed there was no box. All the writing on the tiny bottle was microscopic and no way to check the expiry date, and the lot number/ serial number / batch number of the vaccination being administered.

I asked them how many vaccination can they give in one day, they said they should give only 2, but they can give all three if I want!!

i refused the Priorix completely by saying that it was not needed immediately, discussed with the doctor (Dr Muhammad Ali Rana) very clearly that today we will give prevenar and Quinvaxem only and do the equivalent of priorix in a few days. so I would like two of them to be done today. By this time the assistant and doctor were starting to look impatiant as they now had one or two patiants waiting outside.

Anyways the assistant prepared the first one (Quinvaxem, "equivalent" of Infanrix) The assistant told me that infanrix was 1900 Rs and this one is 3000 Rs. As they didnt have Infanrix so I agreed to having this Quinvaxem instead. After they had given the injection to my son on his butt, the assistant quickly gave him a few drops of something. I asked him and he very frustatedly replied these are polio drops. I asked him who has asked him or given him permission to give my son those drops? he says "they always give this"....what an absoolute idiot I thought and felt like punching some sense into him but I let go of my anger and complained to the doctor Dr Muhammad Ali Rana who was also standing next to me. His answer further annoyed me as he says "oh these Pakistani polio vaccination are completely useless please dont worry"....and I thought to myself, then why did they quickly give this to my son if this is so useless? !!

The assistant had gione out of the doctors office in the meantime. The doctor called him and asked him to prepare the Prevenar injection I had brought with me. The assistant had bad attitude, looked fed up and says "oh why dont you make up your mind, I was told you will have only one injection today" !!! Unbelievable I thought as the doctor himself was a witness to my request to have two injections, and leave one for laters.

Anyways, now the doctor tells me that usually that give vaccinations so fast that the vistor/patiant doesnt even have time to sit down, and we were taking too long time by asking him tooooo many questions!!

I am not sure, but from the start they told us they had my required injections in stock which they didnt have. The price was nearly double of the original injections too. They had no boxes for the injections, no batch numbers visible to a normal eye, they appeared to be impatiant, the assistant couldnt work out how many is "two" injections, and on top the doc didnt want too many questions regarding the stuff I was prepared to inject in my one year old son's body !!!

If I was prepared to wait outside for the two patiants before me, I also deserved to know the details of what I am allowing to be injected into an innocent child. And I was only with the deoc for around 10 mins or so.

I would not recommend this doctor and clinic. An impatiant doctor can be very dangerous, and those who arent prepared to reply to all questions normally either dont know the answers, or do not want to answer if something is wrong, either ways there is something fishy usually.

Please stay away from doctors that are not prepared to answer to your questions. Please ask and check before hand. Please dont let any one repeat what happened to a small girl "Imanae" in Doctors Hosp. She went in with a tiny burn wound, and came out dead due to a wrong injection wrongly adminsitered to her by an impatient murderer doctor. Please take care of your beloved children. They are very precious. A good doctor will ALWAYS be considerate, and will explain what, why and when. if they dont, then please write a review to warn others, and stay away yourself too from such docs.
