Engro Powergen Qadirpur - Karachi

Engro Powergen Qadirpur is a standalone energy producer with a 217 MW combined cycle power station in the vicinity of Qadirpur, District Ghotki. The plant has a 1+1+1 configuration which comprises a gas turbine, a Heat Recovery System Generator (HRSG), and a steam turbine. Permeate gas is the primary fuel source while High Speed Diesel (HSD) serves as a backup source for electricity production. The company's client is the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) dated October 26, 2007, which is valid for 25 years from the moment of commercial operations commencement.
